Driving to Grand Marais

This past weekend Tim and I were able to drive to Gran Marais and enjoy the Summer Solstice pageant with Jamie and Sally. We traveled through very strange and awesome weather as we drove to Minnesota on Thursday, 6-21. This is a picture of one of the unusual clouds that we saw that evening. It was an evening of strange light, torrential rain and ever changing clouds. The water falls are the "root beer float" falls of Cascade Falls. The Northern Coast is really a beautiful place in June. It was a chance to catch up and make a vow to get together at least once a year as we have more time to travel.
